Central Otago Wine Trail

Visit Central Otago wineries for wine tasting in the spectacular vineyard settings through the Gibbston Valley, Cromwell Basin, Bannockburn, Bendigo, Lake Wanaka and Alexandra-Clyde.

There are now more than 30 wineries/vineyards on the Central Otago Wine Trail offering tastings, tours, lunches and meals. To visit them all could take several days!

Here are several suggested loop trails you could follow:

1. From Queenstown - take in the Gibbston sub-region, travel through to Cromwell, Lowburn and Bannockburn and return.
2. From Queenstown - through Gibbston, Cromwell/Bannockburn to Wanaka and return via the Crown Range.
3. From Cromwell - take in Bannockburn, Bendigo, Wanaka, Wanaka Road wineries, Lowburn and return to Cromwell.
4. From Alexandra/Clyde - take in wineries in the Clyde/Earnscleugh, Alexandra and Springvale subregion.
